ESSEX vehicle brokerage Planet Leasing sees a good year ahead, with new staff and increasing demand for its new venture offering supercar finance.
It recently launched Planet Prestige, to service new and existing high net worth clients who have a requirement for hire purchase both with and without a final balloon payment, mainly for prestige marques.
Directors Gary Rose and Darren Nash (who set up Planet Leasing in 2007) are longtime supercar enthusiasts, having had a number of Mclarens and Ferraris, with the latest editions a Mclaren 750S Spider and a Ferrari 296 GTS (main image)
They are members of The Drivers Union and The Essex Supercar Club and continue to support www.sportingbears.co.uk who collaborate with a number of national children’s charities by enthusiasts offering dream rides in their own vehicles.
“We now have three funders already in place behind the Planet Prestige brand and are adding a fourth to our panel anytime soon.”

“We have pre-existing relationships with a number of dealerships which include Ferrari, Mclaren, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley and Rolls Royce who continue to look to Planet Prestige as an “alternative funder” when required being a great route to market.”
Planet Leasing performance
Gary adds that Planet Leasing is tracking ahead of target with a vastly improved maintenance penetration and says that despite economic uncertainty and eroding consumer confidence, he feels particularly excited about 2026 and beyond where he anticipates business returning to pre-covid levels and further growth opportunities.
Earlier this month the company hosted Steve Cocks, Head of Broker at Lex Autolease and Lex Autolease Account Manager Paul Aiken at its Leigh-on-Sea headquarters.
“We are delighted to see Planet Leasing continue to innovate with the launch of Planet Prestige. This exciting new venture reflects the same commitment to excellence that has defined our long-standing partnership with Planet. Gary and Darren’s energy and enthusiasm will undoubtedly provide a strong foundation for success as they cater to the unique needs of high-net-worth clients seeking prestige marques through tailored hire purchase solutions. We wish them every success and look forward to continuing our support and collaboration as Planet Prestige grows and thrives.”
