ONCE again, Rivervale has provided the wheels to support its hometown Brighton Marathon, from race leadership vehicles to logistics, route management and event activation.
Held on 12 April this year, Rivervale was the official vehicle partner for the fourth year running, working closely with long-standing partners Switch Car Rentals, Ford Motor Company, and Stellantis. It helped provide a fully integrated fleet solution that supported every stage of the weekend’s operations.
Rivervale recently announced its relocation from its long-term headquarters at Victoria Road, Portslade, Brighton, to a new base in nearby Shoreham.
Strong partnership with Switch Car Rentals
Rivervale’s collaboration with Switch Car Rentals continues to be a vital part of its fleet management capability. Through this partnership, large vans were used to support the marathon weekend.
This same operational strength is reflected in Rivervale’s wider fleet management services, where the partnership enables fast access to commercial vehicles for customers, helping businesses stay mobile and keep operations running without delay.
Supporting manufacturers Ford and Stellantis
Rivervale also works closely with Ford Motor Company and Stellantis as key manufacturing partners. Both play an important role in Rivervale’s leasing and fleet supply operations, where a wide range of vehicles from these brands are provided to customers across the UK.
Stellantis represents marques including Peugeot, Vauxhall, Fiat and Jeep, providing a diverse range of vehicles that form a core part of Rivervale’s leasing and fleet offering.
Delivering a seamless event experience
As part of the marathon weekend, Rivervale supplied a lead vehicle, the Jeep eCompass (main image), which guided the race and was driven across the finish line alongside men’s winner Sam Cook of Horsham, who completed the marathon in an impressive 2 hours 25 minutes, securing his second consecutive victory.
The wider fleet supplied by Stellantis ensured the event ran safely and efficiently, with vehicles supporting timing, logistics and course management throughout the weekend.
At the halfway point, Ford Motor Company helped enhance the race atmosphere by supplying a Ford Ranger PHEV, which powered the DJ setup and contributed to the energetic environment for runners as they reached a key milestone in the course.
Event welfare support
Rivervale would also like to extend a sincere thank you to GM Coachworks for their support during the event. Their provision of a minibus as a welfare vehicle played an important role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of participants and staff throughout the marathon weekend.
Rivervale remains committed to supporting major sporting and community events while showcasing the strength of its manufacturer and rental partnerships.
