RORY Harrison is moving from ALD Automotive to join Fleet Procure as the fintech’s commercial manager – leasing & OEM.

Many brokers will know Rory from his time as a broker account manager with ALD Automotive. More recently he has worked on ALD’s white label account for smart.

But after nearly 16 years with the funder, he has decided to take a career change and join the cloud computing broker/dealer procurement platform.

It's a big move for me after spending such a significant part of my career with ALD. But it's such a great opportunity to engage the leasing companies and OEMs in the benefits of the Fleet Procure platform, particularly as we move towards more agency deals, that it was difficult not to say yes.

In his new role with Fleet Procure, managing director Lee Jones says that Rory will be focusing on OEM and leasing company relationships to utilise Fleet Procure’s core vehicle procurement and ordering platform, agency ordering and the new Stock Manager module for managing tactical stock.

“We are entering an exciting phase of our growth plans,” commented Lee. “Our next step is to branch out from our current leasing broker and dealer offering to work directly with OEMs and the leasecos.

“Rory is very experienced and well regarded. He will be heading up this new direction and introducing our new pipeline products.”

Lee added that Fleet Procure was already in trials with two major FN50 funders.

At the same time the business continued to sign up leasing brokers on a monthly basis, with 80 on the books and an ambition to attract 100 leasing brokers to the platform by the end of the year.
