THERE are familiar faces at the BVRLA in new places with new responsibilities.

Former director of communications and external relations, Toby Poston (above), has been promoted to director of corporate affairs.

While Toby will continue to oversee the BVRLA’s communications and research activities, his main focus will be on the association’s policy policy work, government engagement and events.

Meanwhile Amanda Brandon (below) moves from her role as head of operations to director of fleet services.

In this new role she will lead the association’s government-approved Dispute Resolution Service and the provision of operational support to members – promoting best practice and raising standards across the industry.

Management of the BVRLA Fair Wear and Tear Guides, Vehicle on hire certificates (VE103), the BVRLA Vehicle Mileage Database and the BVRLA RISC Database will all fall under her remit. She will also lead the relationship with the Department for Transport, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency on operational matters.

Toby first joined the BVRLA in 2008 and has been a director since 2013; Amanda joined the BVRLA in 2002 as legal services administrator.

Chief executive Gerry Keaney commented on the dual appointments:

“Toby and Amanda have played a vital role in the BVRLA for many years and their knowledge of the industry is second to none. I am delighted to welcome Amanda to the senior management team and am confident that members will join me in wishing her and Toby every success in their new roles.”
