MANAGING Director of Silverstone Leasing, Scott Norville, along with sister Gemma (pictured above in training), are set to lace up their running shoes for the Northampton Half Marathon on 15 September, 2024.
They will be running the half marathon in aid of the Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Silverstone’s charity of choice, which was supported by the leasing broker’s recent Silverstone Soccer event.
“We’ve seen firsthand the incredible work Cynthia Spencer Hospice does, and we wanted to give back to a place that has touched so many lives,” said Scott.
Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides comprehensive care and support for individuals facing life-limiting illnesses, offering not only medical care but also emotional and psychological support to patients and their families. The hospice relies heavily on community donations to continue its work, as only a portion of its funding comes from the government.
Scott and Gemma’s decision to run the half marathon is driven by a deep personal commitment to the hospice’s mission. “Running 13.1 miles is a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced by those who benefit from the hospice’s care,” said Gemma. “We wanted to do something that could make a real difference, and this seemed like the perfect way to do it.”
Scott and Gemma say any funds raised will go directly toward supporting the hospice’s services, which include in-patient care, home care, and day therapy – services are vital for providing relief, comfort, and dignity to patients and their families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
