THIS Sunday, Daventry Town Football Club transforms into a sporting spectacle for the fifth annual Silverstone Soccer charity event. With a target of £4,000 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice, the event continues to build on the £14,000 already raised since its inception. Pictured above is the Carmmunity team from last year.
Local and national businesses are rallying to participate, creating teams and offering sponsorships starting at £495. This grassroots initiative has firmly embedded itself within the community, showcasing the power of sport for a good cause.
There are 10 teams taking part in the event, sponsored by All Things Business and Acorn.
But while the day’s focus is on the football, it’s not all football. It’s a family-friendly event featuring food stalls, activities, and raffles. Local celebrities and former football stars will also be in attendance, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day’s festivities.
"Cynthia Spencer Hospice plays a crucial role in providing care and support for those in need. Every pound raised at Silverstone Soccer goes directly to enhancing these vital services, ensuring patients receive the highest quality care during challenging times."
