NORTHAMPTON broker Silverstone Fleet Management organised a charity football tournament for local businesses.
The event raised £732 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
Twelve local businesses took part in the five-a-side competition on Saturday February 15 at the Benham Sports Centre.
The event was won by YMD Boon Architects (pictured above).
Silverstone sales manager Ryan Bishop was the mastermind behind the event.
He used his local business contacts and love of football to raise money for the company’s Charity of the Year.
Bishop said:
“We managed to raise £1,149 with #SingForCynthia last year and I wanted to keep the momentum going. So I decided to look at a way of raising money through football in a fun atmosphere where we could all have a good time but also raise some more money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.”
Nina Gandy, corporate partnerships fundraiser at Cynthia Spencer Hospice, added:
“The event was brilliant and there was such a buzz throughout the whole day. The amount raised is fantastic and once again shows the great support we get from Silverstone Fleet Management and the wider local business community.”
