THE Mycardirect car subscription service, run by former Free2Move and Daimler Fleet Management executive Duncan Chumley, has purchased a vehicle rental service: Avalon Vehicle Rental.
The company has now been rebranded to Mycardirect Rental.
Mycardirect says the expansion is tactical as it plans greater flexibility for customers.
I am very excited about the new Mycardirect venture which combines subscription and rental to provide customers with the ultimate flexibility when choosing a vehicle. There is huge potential for growth. Together, our two teams cover a wide range of vehicle solutions for both corporate and private customers.
Liz Elstub, chief operations officer, Avalon Vehicle Rental
In addition to the Avalon purchase, the company has moved to new purpose-built offices based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The company currently has 32 employees and plans to grow Mycardirect over the next five years.
I am absolutely delighted with the progress we have made over a very short period of time. The acquisition of Avalon Vehicle Rental significantly strengthens our customer proposition and our new offices create a superb environment for the Mycardirect team and our expansion plans.
Duncan Chumley, CEO, Mycardirect
Mycardirect was formed by Chumley in 2020 and its subscription service is powered by Wagonex. Mycardirect is a trading style of Alliance Asset Management.
