CONGRATULATIONS to Synergy Car Leasing – the Harrogate based leasing broker is celebrating 20 years in business.
The company was founded in 2006 at its original home on the Evans Business Centre in Harrogate with a vision to deliver an excellent leasing experience, and to make car leasing simpler, more transparent, and genuinely more customer-focused.
Since that day, Synergy has grown to 39 employees and relocated to its current headquarters on Hornbeam Park. The current team includes Client Services Director Gemma Manning, Synergy’s first full-time employee back in 2008, and Will Voisey, who joined the business in 2013 and was appointed managing director in 2024.
Will says the firm has ‘been through a lot’ in its 20-year history: “We weathered the 2008 credit crunch, after which we grew and strengthened our relationships with manufacturers and suppliers. This enabled us to offer more vehicle choices and leasing options for our personal and business customers.
“In 2015, we invested heavily in digital systems to improve the customer experience, and in 2018, we introduced electric vehicles to our offering. 2024 brought us a Decade of Excellence award from Feefo, reflecting 10 years of verified five-star customer feedback. This rare achievement reflected our long-standing commitment to delivering best-in-class customer service.”
He sees reaching 20 years in business as ‘a fantastic achievement’: “Our success as a business is testament to the hard work of everyone in our team and the trust that suppliers and customers have put in us over the years. We have grown, expanded our offering, and continually adapted to a changing global market, whilst remaining true to the vision set out in 2006.”
Part of that success includes being named Broker of the Year in two successive years at the Broker News Awards, while more recently Synergy was ranked number nine in the list of the largest leasing brokers in the UK with sales in 2025 of 4,017 in the BN25 2026 league table.
The company says it is planning a series of events and activities throughout the year to mark the anniversary.
