WELSH based leasing broker the lcv group is supporting singer songwriter Mal Pope with a branded vehicle as he takes part in Wales Week London, an annual celebration of Welsh talent.

Rod Lloyd, CEO of the lcv group, is a long-time supporter of Mal (both pictured above), who first found fame in the 1970s when a cassette tape of his tunes caught the ear of legendary DJ John Peel.

This led to a record deal with Elton John’s Rocket Records and, 50 years later, Mal is celebrating his ‘Golden Jubilee’ in the business.

Mal will be hosting a night of song and memories at All Souls, Langham Place, on Tuesday, February 27 as part of Wales Week London (22 February – 6 March 2024).  Rod has sourced Mal a new van for him to travel between Swansea and Westminster.

“It’s great to be able to support Mal at Wales Week London, where he’ll be flying the flag for Welsh talent and businesses. We wish him well for the gig, which will surely be one of the highlights of a fantastic week of the events.”

“It’s amazing how the quality of vans has changed over the years. Back in the 1980s we were touring around in the back of an old white (Ford) Transit, sitting on bags of cement – look at us now!” added Mal.
