- PCH demand defies ‘quiet August’
- Enquiries for PCH up an astonishing 48%
- Average rental was 24 months/5,000 miles and £316
- Nissan Qashqai displaces Vauxhall Astra from top spot
AUGUST is the month for holidays when everything slows down…except…except that is, for enquiries into the PCH market.
The personal market has unquestionably been tough, but with some fabulous offers on the table – GWM Ora 03 for £135 per month or Skoda Octavia Estate from £160 anyone? – consumer interest has certainly gained momentum.
Leasing.com in its monthly report on the PCH market for August 2024 says that it was up an astonishing 48%. In fact, it was the best month for PCH enquiries this year, the leasing deal aggregating website told Broker News.
“August was actually the best month for new car leasing demand on Leasing.com so far this year. The stellar new car offers from our advertising partners tempted motorists into the market and total enquiry volumes finished 48% up compared to August 2023. The Nissan Qashqai retained its crown at the top of our league table, but came under close pressure from the Vauxhall Astra, and the Volkswagen Golf rounded out our top three in August.”
