PRESTON-based leasing broker UK Carline Limited has promoted two long serving staff to its senior management team, Mark Tillotson and Martin Gate.
Mark Tillotson becomes Chief Operating Officer and Martin Gate Head of Business Systems, as the business continues to build on 25 years in vehicle leasing.
The appointments reflect UK Carline’s focus on improving operational performance, developing technology-led processes and supporting long-term growth across its personal and business leasing operations.
Mark Tillotson has been part of UK Carline for more than nine years and has played an important role in the continued development of the business. Previously Sales Manager, his responsibilities have grown significantly in recent years, particularly across operational performance, commercial relationships, business standards and strategic partnerships.
As Chief Operating Officer, Mark will oversee operational performance across the business, support teams throughout UK Carline and help ensure the company continues to deliver high standards for customers, funders, dealers and partners.
Martin Gate has been with UK Carline for more than 14 years and has been central to the development of the company’s data, analytics, reporting and internal business systems. His work has helped shape how UK Carline monitors performance, makes commercial decisions and identifies opportunities for improvement.
As Head of Business Systems, Martin will lead UK Carline’s development team and future technology projects, as well as taking a lead role in the company’s partnership with the University of Lancashire. The partnership is expected to support further innovation, talent development and technology-led progress within the business.
“Both of these appointments are about much more than job titles. They are about putting the right structure, accountability and leadership in place for the future of UK Carline.”
Darren Godbert, Managing Director, UK Carline Tweet
Commenting on his appointment, Mark Tillotson said: “I’m grateful for the trust that has been placed in me and excited about the opportunity ahead. UK Carline is a business with great people, strong values and real ambition.
“My focus will be on helping our teams perform at their best, strengthening the way we operate and supporting the continued growth of the company.”
Martin Gate added: “When I started at UK Carline 14 years ago, the business looked very different. There were fewer people, fewer funders, fewer systems and a very different market. Since then, the company has grown significantly, and the role of data, systems and technology has become more important every year.
“I’m proud of what we have built so far and excited to continue developing new systems, better processes and smarter ways of working that can help take UK Carline even further.”
