APRIL 2026 was the strongest month ever recorded for used electric van sales in the UK, according to used car market data supplier MarketCheck.

A total of 1,051 used electric vans were sold during April, the highest monthly figure recorded by MarketCheck and the first time the market has broken through the 1,000-unit mark in a single month.

The previous record was set just one month earlier, with 967 used electric vans sold in March 2026 – compared with April 2025, when 474 units were sold.

The figures highlight the rapid growth of the used electric van market, says MarketCheck. In May 2023, just 177 used electric vans were sold across the UK.

While sales have reached record levels, prices remain significantly below those seen in previous years.

The average last listed price of a used electric van in April 2026 was £17,027. Although this represents a modest increase from £16,552 in March, it remains substantially below the £22,485 average recorded in May 2023.

Alastair Campbell, MarketCheck UK, commented: “What’s particularly notable is that this growth has come while prices remain significantly below the levels seen two or three years ago – lower entry costs are making electric vans a possible option for a much wider range of businesses.

“The combination of record sales and substantially lower prices suggests the used electric van market is now entering a new phase of growth.”
