HEMEL Hempstead broker Vanarama is hoping to spur the public adoption of electric vehicles with the provision of a free home charger.

The offer, in conjunction with home charger provider ChargedEV, runs for a limited period from 09 July 2020 to 04 August 2020.

Andy Alderson, CEO and founder of Vanarama commented:

We know that one of the key reasons consumers hesitate about making the change to EV is the access to charging points. Our home charge point offer will remove this obstacle and make leasing an electric vehicle more accessible for our customers.

The untethered Smart+ home charge points, which will be supplied and fitted by ChargedEV, are rated at 7kW output, have programmable charge times and smart load balancing.

Mark Pymm, director of ChargedEV, added:

“It is great to be working with a partner that understands the needs of its customers and is willing to commit to supporting that transition for EV drivers with such a great piece of kit whilst covering those costs.”

The offer is open to both fully electric cars and vans, and is the latest promotion by Vanarama to instil buyer confidence following COVID-19. At the end of June, Vanarama offered free redundancy and life event cover.
