RETAILERS can now advertise their vans, commercial 4x4s, pick-ups, and other light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to prospective buyers who visit Carwow and its portfolio of brands, including Auto Express.
Retailers have been able to source used vans and other LCVs via Carwow’s daily online auctions since October 2023, and growing demand from buyers and sellers has led Carwow to now enhance its LCV offering by adding new and used vans to its advertising platform.
Across the Carwow Group, interest in vans has grown substantially, with van review content across its portfolio of brands reaching 1.4 million views in 2024.
“The van market is a significant contributor to revenues for many OEMs and retailers, and we’ve listened to requests to extend our offering to support the promotion and sale of vans in the same way we have with cars. Carwow is synonymous with a positive car-changing experience and we aim to extend that sentiment to the van market by driving high-quality enquiries directly to retailers from our millions of visitors every month.”
Alastair White, Commercial Director OEM & Media, Carwow Tweet
Customers will be able to configure and order new vans via Carwow’s high-converting configurator, while new and used van stock will also be searchable via the existing Carwow and Auto Express listings pages. A dedicated landing page for vans will be populated through a direct feed from retailers or by retailers providing Carwow with a manual stock list for upload.
The launch of the new vans proposition will be supported by a social media advertising campaign targeted at prospective van buyers seeking easily navigated comparison tools and transparent pricing.
Insight from Carwow shows that van buyers are digital first; 87% of prospective van buyers research their potential next purchase online, while two-thirds are influenced by expert reviews.
