VAVOOM is celebrating its first birthday, after 12 months of rapid growth for the Cheadle-based leasing broker.

Having been established by Jonathan Wise and Stuart Adam – formerly national sales manager and strategic sales manager at LeasePlan respectively – the firm has gone from two members of staff to 12 in the space of a year, and is recruiting an additional 10 team members over the next 12 months.

Expansion plans include a focus on consumer leasing and fleet leasing consultants, as well as salary sacrifice schemes. Although the majority of Vavoom’s business is currently on personal deals, it is expected to see that switch to fleet by the end of 2022, considering the experience of its directors and key staff.

We have been delighted with the progress we have made at Vavoom in what is a very challenging marketplace for all brokers. We have lots of new ideas and projects afoot, and we aim to keep bringing new ideas and have created a new type of experience for customers when they engage with us.

We were delighted to have picked up awards in 2022 for “Best Nationwide Leasing Enterprise 2021 & Best Business Finance Start-Up 2021” but it’s our people that is helping us grow and keeping customers coming back to us.

Having delivered more than £7 million worth of vehicles in its first year, Vavoom is also the first climate positive leasing broker. It offsets employees’ personal CO2 impacts, and Vavoom company vehicles are all-electric, amongst other schemes.

Whilst we have seen some extremely difficult market conditions, the team have worked tirelessly to navigate around the hurdles in front of us such as slower production of vehicles, manufacturers cancelling their order bank and so on.

We have benefited from our strong supplier relationships both from a funding and vehicle perspective and while we know the short to medium term isn’t going to drastically improve, our partnerships will ensure we are best placed to succeed and support our clients.

Vavoom has been built on strong foundations for success and a fantastic culture within the team to ensure we are moving forward strongly together. We are seeing increased requests for electric vehicles which has accelerated our creation of a Salary Sacrifice product which is enabling us to work with large clients who are making a concerted effort in reducing their carbon emissions within the fleet and we see this as a key growth area for the remainder of 2022 and beyond.
