EV charging tech firm VCHRGD has appointed Gordon Ross as its first Marketing Director.
Gordon is charged with strengthening the company’s brand presence and support expansion across key market segments including installer and wholesale partnerships, energy supplier integrations, fleet electrification and EV salary sacrifice schemes.
Founded in 2021, VCHRGD has quickly established itself as a fast-growing player in the EV charging sector, focusing on reliable hardware, installer-friendly design and responsive technical support.
The company’s portfolio includes the Seven and Seven Pro 7.4kW chargers designed for domestic and small business charging, alongside the TwentyTwo and TwentyTwo Dual 22kW chargers built for workplace and commercial environments. These products combine features such as solar integration, load balancing and OCPP compatibility with competitive pricing aimed at supporting the installer and wholesale channel.
Ross has already worked closely with the VCHRGD team on several recent marketing initiatives, including supporting the launch of the company’s energy supplier integration with Octopus, helping develop the Partner Spotlight programme highlighting installer and technology collaborations, and building the business’s marketing roadmap for the year ahead.
His role will focus on aligning marketing activity with commercial growth opportunities across the EV sector and comes at a time when EV charging infrastructure is expanding rapidly across the UK, with businesses, fleets and homeowners increasingly seeking dependable hardware backed by strong technical support.
Phil McDermott, VCHRGD Chairman, said:
“We’ve always believed that building strong partnerships and delivering great service are what really drive success in this industry. As our business continues to grow across installers, wholesalers, fleets and energy providers, it’s important that we invest in how we communicate our story and support those partners.
“Gordon has already played a key role in shaping some of our recent initiatives, and bringing him on board as Marketing Director is an important step as we continue scaling the VCHRGD brand and strengthening our position in the EV charging market.”
Gordon is an experienced marketeer, including time spent with Edinburgh-based leasing broker Gofor, before establishing his own GR23 Marketing consultancy.
Commenting on his appointment, Gordon said:
“As EV adoption continues to accelerate, there’s a huge opportunity for companies, like VCHRGD, that combine great hardware with strong partnerships across the ecosystem. I’m excited to work with the team to build on their momentum and help more installers, fleets and partners discover what VCHRGD has to offer.”
