STOCKPORT-based leasing broker Vehicle Consulting has bought New Car Deals Ltd, trading as Simply Vehicle Leasing.
The deal to buy the West Yorkshire broker took place in late January prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, so that operations are now fully merged at Vehicle Consulting’s Cheshire head office.
Managing director, Lee Wolstenholme, who now heads a team of 23, said:
“The acquisition represents a significant step forward in the realisation of our business expansion plans. We are eyeing growth through acquisition, investment and the recruitment of experienced people into our team.”
The Vehicle Consulting board includes key investor and successful entrepreneur Andrew Brode, who is chair of RWS, recently named Company of the Year at the AIM Awards
Wolstenholme added that, with significant changes in store as as the UK headed towards a 2035 electrification date, the business had to plan and prepare for those changes.
“With secure funding lines in place, we are actively looking for more opportunities to expand our fleet business, to meet the needs of future generations of business motorists.
“New Car Deals had a great reputation in the market, especially with its customer service provision. We have been able to bring some of that expertise over to Stockport, to further strengthen our team here. Delivering the very best customer service, coupled with driving fleet sales, is core to our operations.”
