A LAUNCH webinar for the recently announced Association of Fleet Operators’ (AFP) Dealer Standard has been announced, taking place on Wednesday 20th April at 9:30am.
Open for any interested parties, the webinar will feature three of the leading figures in the accreditation’s development – AFP board members James Pestell and Ric Baird, as well as Zoe Lawson, head of corporate sales at Marshall Motor Group.
The 28-point AFP Dealer Standard is an accreditation programme designed to ensure that fleet cars and vans are delivered in consistently good condition to the end user. They are also given a full handover, including any new technology such as those found on electric vehicles.
Topics in the webinar will include the Standard’s aims, what is involved and what it includes, why and how it was created, the benefits available to all parties, monitoring and feedback processes, and how fleet operators, service providers, and dealers can get involved.
Marshall, Inchcape, and Sytner are the first major motor retailers to sign-up to the Dealer Standard, with more set to join in due course.
We’ve been very pleased with the initial response to the launch of the Dealer Standard from across the fleet and dealer sectors. It has been extremely positive.
Our intention was always that the accreditation should become used right across the industry by all dealers and fleets and we’ve made an excellent start towards that objective.
Indeed, we are already hearing from some major leasing fleets that they are planning to work in the future only with dealers who commit to the Standard, which would certainly help to accelerate its adoption.
We’ll be discussing these issues and more as part of the webinar, which will serve as an excellent introduction for any organisation interested in finding out more.
Paul Hollick, AFP chair
