WESSEX Fleet Solutions has been chosen to power the relaunched AA Lease website.

The AA says that leasing will grow in popularity with its research showing that younger drivers are expected to lease vehicles in increasing numbers, with one in three (29%) already choosing to pay for their vehicles through a monthly payment.

The tie up with Salisbury-based leasing broker Wessex Fleet allows AA Lease to offer personal leasing to its customers, with 36 models available and 1,000 vehicles in stock.

“More and more drivers are turning to leasing, and this partnership will offer a huge choice to motorists wanting alternatives to buying their next car. Owning a car comes with immediate depreciation and ongoing maintenance concerns. Whereas leasing offers a hassle-free experience, with a new vehicle arriving every few years and the option of inclusive maintenance costs. The shift towards leasing is especially evident in the electric vehicle (EV) market. Drivers are eager to explore EVs without committing to long-term ownership.”

According to Wessex Fleet, nearly 50% of its vehicles are either EVs or feature hybrid electrification.

Originally, AA Lease launched its Smart Lease product with LeasePlan back in 2021 and marketed it exclusively through the LeaseLoco portal.

The move to Wessex Fleet provides an experienced partner that has white labelled partner websites before, such as Snows Direct.
