LEASING broker XLCR has been instrumental in boosting the Upholstery2u van fleet as it meets increased demand for its services.
Upholstery2u has been growing across the UK, as well as in the wider European market and the UAE.
The company provides mobile upholstery repairs, bringing its workshop to clients and eliminating the need to ship furniture or equipment for repairs.
But with increasing demand for its services, Upholstery2u has now acquired 30 new vans and expects to add further vans as its operational requirements expand.
With most jobs completed in 30 minutes, the company’s service is popular with businesses in gyms, hospitality, and healthcare sectors.
XLCR has provided a fleet management solution to ensure the company’s mobile upholstery workshops are always on the road and equipped with reliable, high-quality vans.
“We’re delighted to support clients such as Upholstery2u as they face higher demand for van fleets. Acquiring news vans for businesses not only saves time and money compared to running aged vans but increases productivity, savings on fuel and maintenance costs.”
Alex Woodcock, Key Accounts Director, XLCR Tweet

According to Michael Boyle, the Managing Director at Upholstery2u, the company has been growing rapidly as it responds to demand in niche services, such as gym equipment repairs, where it holds contracts with major brands such as JD Gyms and David Lloyd.
“The company’s innovative mobile upholstery repair model allows for quick repairs, making it highly appealing to businesses in sectors like hospitality and healthcare,” he says.
“We also help refurbish furniture and equipment to extend the lifespan of items. This has helped clients avoid waste and reduce environmental impact and has subsequently attracted businesses looking for sustainable solutions.
“Having XCLR by our side has allowed us to put these solutions together which has resulted in great success.
“By managing the fleet logistics, XLCR has reduced the burden of vehicle maintenance and procurement, enabling usto focus on scaling our business, improving service delivery, and expanding across the UK and internationally.”
Earlier this year, XLCR Vehicle Management was acquired by Global Vans, offering it greater flexibility and viability in the B2B market.
