• Vauxhall Combo Electric available on Business Contract Hire with same monthly payment, deposit and term as the diesel version on a Leasys rental
  • Combo Electric Prime available for £329 per month over five years; Pro trim available for £365 per month
  • Lower running costs mean drivers could save £91 per month (based on 6k miles per annum) by switching to a Combo Electric – making going electric cheaper than running a diesel Combo
  • Small businesses and sole traders in London may also be eligible for a £9,500 grant through the ULEZ van scrappage scheme by switching to a Combo Electric
  • Combo Electric is Made in Britain at the Stellantis Ellesmere Port plant – the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing facility

VAUXHALL is enabling businesses to switch to a Combo Electric for the same monthly rental as a diesel Combo. The terms, says Vauxhall, are identical, as is the deposit.

The Vauxhall Business Contract Hire deal on the Combo Electric is through Leasys.

On Prime trim, the Combo Electric costs £329pm with a £1,974 initial rental, while customers can upgrade to Pro trim for £365pm with a £2,190 initial rental. The contract term is 60 months with a mileage allowance of 6,000 miles per year.

Vauxhall says van drivers can save on running costs by over £90 per month by switching to a Combo Electric – making going electric cheaper than running a diesel Combo. This includes fuel savings of £64 per month based on 500 miles per month and a saving of £26 per month thanks to the current exemption on VED for electric vehicles.

Sole traders and small businesses in London can also take advantage of the ULEZ van scrappage scheme and access a £9,500 grant by replacing a non-compliant diesel van with a Combo Electric.

James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “The removal of any additional upfront cost for van drivers looking to go electric is a significant step in our ambition to make electric mobility accessible to all. With identical monthly payments and lower running costs, it will allow Combo Electric customers to realise significant savings compared to the equivalent diesel version over the life of the vehicle. Manufactured at our Ellesmere Port plant, we are proud to offer businesses a British-built electric vehicle for such outstanding value.”

The New Combo Electric can travel up to 213 miles on a single charge of its 52kWh battery (WLTP) – 38 miles further than its predecessor. Powered by an electric motor developing 136PS and 270Nm of torque, the New Combo Electric can be recharged from 0-80% in 30 minutes at a 100kW public charging station. With up to 4.4 cubic metres of storage space (the same as the diesel version), class-leading payload of up to 781kg and 750kg towing capacity, van drivers won’t suffer any compromise when it comes to practicality.
