NEWPORT-BASED leasing broker Vansdirect has launched an online resource to help businesses make the switch to electric vans.

The new Electric Van Hub covers different types of electric vans, their benefits, the key things businesses need to consider, grants and incentives, and charging advice.

It also busts myths about electric vans, which may be deterring people from making the switch, with electric van registrations down 3.1% during the first four months of 2024.

However, the latest figures hide the individual brand EV market mix figures. Much of the overall shortfall so far in 2024 is due to Ford’s poor performance with electric vans as the all-electric Transit Custom does not go on sale until later this year.

The Electric Van Hub reviews all of the electric vans Vansdirect has available, as well as providing electric van news and answering FAQs.

“We’re really proud to launch our new EV hub. More and more of our customers are starting to consider switching to electric vans and we want to provide a resource that helps them understand how they can make that switch in a way that gives them the business continuity that is so critical. For some sectors, now is a good time to switch and for some, the time isn’t quite right and our aim is to help provide clear and objective information for support and guidance until the time is right.”
