About the winner
The rising star of the year award is designed to recognise the superstars of the future and Maddy Tyler is definitely a superstar. Maddy joined Bridle Group just under 18 months ago and has already had a hugely positive impact on the business. Even more impressive as Maddy works in compliance – a critical, but often overlooked part of the broking business compared with the more glamorous sales side.
What made Maddy Tyler a Rising Star ?
The judges were impressed with the exceptionally enthusiastic feedback for Maddy detailed in the award submission. Maddy stood out in a strong field for her hugely positive impact on the Bridle Group – all achieved in a short space of time.
Maddy is clearly making her way in a challenging area of the business and the feedback from colleagues is fantastic. Great to see someone paving the way in a non-sales, but critical area of the business. Compliance is what has shaped the broker industry over the past 20 years - making it more transparent and professional. Well done Maddy!
Broker News Awards 2023 judges Tweet
Maddy stood out for demonstrating excellence across a number of key areas:
Collaboration
The judges were delighted to see the way Maddy works with and supports her colleagues. Maddy’s training and coaching of sales personnel was described as invaluable to Bridle and has resulted in improved performance. One colleague commented:
Maddy has been a breath of fresh air, she always goes above and beyond and has been a massive help to us in achieving a much higher compliance score with her dedication and professionalism. If Carlsberg did compliance, then Maddy would be it!
Embracing development opportunities
Despite joining the business with no motor finance industry or regulatory experience, Maddy displayed a real willingness to embrace new opportunities. The panel was impressed with Maddy’s positive attitude and approach to continuous training which has resulted in her knowledge of a compliant sale being described as ‘second to none.’
An ambassador for the business
Maddy was described in the award nomination as ‘An important member of the team and an ambassador for the whole group’. The judging panel was delighted to see Maddy demonstrating that through putting customer experience at the heart of everything she does – whilst ensuring Bridle’s compliance is of the highest standard – no easy task.
The compliance department isn’t always looked at favourably so being able to accept the award as a compliance officer was equally a surprise and an honour. I’m honestly still in a bit of shock that I won! I felt so grateful just to be nominated. Nickie Brooks really has been the best mentor to me since I started at Bridle and I know I wouldn’t be where I am now without her support.
