Business Development Manager – Rental Sales Role
Office Based Role (with travel required)
Basic + Commission, company car, pension, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Due to the continued growth within our daily rental department an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will manage a small portfolio of existing customers and have a firm focus on generating and delivering new business opportunities. This is very much a ‘hands-on’ role, and we expect you to canvas and generate your own leads in addition to referrals from other areas of the business.
What does the role involve?
- Achievement of annual business turnover, margin and rental days targets
- Build key relationships to enable a smooth service delivery for each client
- Analysis of sales data, including customer data to track trends in both their profile and usage
- Prospect, convert and maximize sales through new business customers
- Provide regular feedback on market news and competitor information
- Ensure the CRM system is used to capture all existing customer activity and also records the status of all prospects
- Generate timely management reports as required that will include pipelines, current portfolio revenue, identifying risks and opportunities with action plans to support.
What do you need to succeed?
- Vehicle rental sales experience
- A resourceful and tenacious approach to building your pipeline,
- The successful candidate must have a proven track record and have the ability to make face to face visits to potential prospects. In addition, you must also be able to demonstrate the ability to win new business and ‘close the sale’. These qualities are a prerequisite of this role
- The ability to efficiently plan and manage your own diary
- The ability to work in a fast paced, competitive environment
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation & communication skills at all levels of the business
- IT literate, with an emphasis on using technology to be effective and productive
