HYUNDAI has appointed a new sales director.

Andrew Tracey joins the Korean firm from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where he was marketing & brand strategy director for Alfa Romeo & Jeep. Prior to his three year stint at FCA, Tracey spent 14 years at SEAT.

On his appointment, Tracey said:

“I am delighted to join Hyundai at such an exciting time for the brand. The UK car market remains extremely challenging. However, I am confident that with the strength of our model line-up and working even more closely with our dealer partners, we will realise a strong, sustainable and profitable future for Hyundai in the UK.”

Also appointed has been James Snowden in the new role of product and planning director.

Snowden, who joins from the Volkswagen Group, added:

“Over the next few years we will expand our line-up with a broad selection of new and innovative vehicles focused on enhanced design, improved connectivity, and next stage eco-technology. I want to ensure Hyundai maintains its leadership in the eco-mobility market while increasing our market competitiveness.”

Hyundai says it has an intense new product roll out over 2020, starting with the updated Hyundai i30 and all-new i20.
