THE Vauxhall plant in Luton – owned by Stellantis – has expanded its manufacturing portfolio with the production start of the Fiat Professional Scudo van.
Fiat says the production meets strong demand for the model since its launch.
Vehicles will be produced at Luton in both right- and left-hand drive for both UK and European markets. It is only the second time Fiat has produced vehicles in the UK, having assembled the original Topolino 500 at Wembley.
Luton continues to build the medium sized Stellantis brand vans, including the Vauxhall Vivaro, Opel Vivaro, Citroën Jumpy, Citroën Dispatch and Peugeot Expert LCVs.
It's great news for Luton Plant to start manufacturing the Fiat Professional Scudo, this means we now produce all of the Stellantis brands mid-sized LCVs, for both the UK and the European markets
