LANCASHIRE leasing broker KeyFleet has won a substantial fleet management deal for Craggs Energy, a national fuel supplier.

It covers the 40+ vehicle fleet and also included is a salary sacrifice programme for the company’s 200 staff as the company seeks to electrify its fleet.

Craggs Energy was launched in 2011 and supplies liquid fuels and fuel management services to homes, farms, businesses and the public sector.

Founder and the group CEO Chris Bingham is also keen to transfer customers to renewables through its specialist Greenarc Energy division.

It’s clear that the EV revolution is upon us. So, partnering with KeyFleet is a significant milestone in our journey to a net zero future.

Chris continued: “We were looking for a provider to help us understand where we are today and pinpoint our destination. But we also needed a partner to roll that out with the drivers and decision-makers.

“So far, it’s been great, and we’ve placed more than 15-20 vehicle orders with them in 2022. Plus, we’re looking forward to converting the rest of our essential car fleet to fully electric by 2024. Shortly after, we’ll transition our vans and many of our staff cars using KeyFleet’s SalEx (salary sacrifice) programme.”

Dave Turner, sales director at KeyFleet, added that providing a solution to Craggs Energy is similar to many SMEs looking to decarbonise operations.

“Through our Partner Programme, we can build a structured approach to the EV transition with expert advice for stakeholders and drivers. Simply providing a choice list featuring electric vehicles just isn’t enough. Drivers have questions and challenges, and it’s our role to help them navigate the move to electrification.”
