PETER McDonald is the new fleet director at Nissan.
The former head of fleet and business sales will lead Nissan’s fleet push as the largest and most comprehensive supplier of electric vehicles.
McDonald has replaced Iker Lazzari who moved back to Volkswagen Financial Services as UK sales director.

As a top 10 brand in the UK, Nissan is uniquely placed for the future and has the most experience of EV product and infrastructure across passenger car and light commercial vehicle fleets.
Peter – who has some 20 years’ experience at Volkswagen to bring to the role – leads an established team with substantial fleet industry experience. It includes:
- Adam Connelly (national corporate fleet manager),
- Mark Johnson (national leasing manager),
- Marco Capozzoli (national dealer fleet manager),
- Kevin Childs (national rental & broker manager),
- Adam Hurren (fleet operations manager) and
- the support of 179 dealers across the UK.
Commenting on his appointment, Peter said:
“Corporate fleets are currently managing the complexity that comes from the inevitable transition to electric vehicles and are looking for trusted and experienced partners that can provide support and advice.
“I’m really excited to be joining the brand that has the most experience in selling electric vehicles to fleets in the UK, and looking forward to working with the Nissan leadership team, dealer network and supplier base to simplify this complexity and accelerate this change for customers.”
