BROKER funder, Lex Autolease, has helped VELUX see the light on business contract hire.

The UK’s largest fleet management and leasing provider has persuaded the world’s leading manufacturer of roof windows, sun tunnels and roof window blinds to switch its entire UK fleet from outright ownership to business contract hire.

The VELUX fleet comprises cars and vans. These are used by its sales team and technicians for customer fittings and repairs.

The agreement includes a full service and maintenance package based on a whole life cost policy.

The switch to BCH occurred during lockdown following initial site vistis prior to COVID-19. Once restrictions were eased, vehicles were ready to go and VELUX has now begun the process of moving all its commercial vehicles over to business contract hire.

Flexibility is key for all our clients but even more so in the current climate, so it was essential we did whatever we could to help VELUX continue operating as near to normal as possible. We were able to recommend and develop a solution with the right vehicle for the right job, while showing them the benefits of contract hire by looking at the whole-life cost and the positive impact it can have on cash flow and the tax benefits.

The new VELUX commercial fleet comprises Volkswagen Transporter Highline models, with some Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models.

VELUX began working with Lex Autolease in November 2019.
