TRAFFIC management specialist Omnis Highway Solutions was deeply impressed by the speed of service from Bristol-based broker Vanaways. So impressed, in fact, that it immediately placed a second order.
The company initially took delivery of 12 Mercedes-Benz Sprinters last year, and now awaits five more identical vehicles.
Omnis turned to Vanaways after growing frustrated with long lead times from other sources.
“We were hitting roadblocks every time. Suppliers couldn't commit to deliveries or were quoting a year or more. As a growing business, that's just not feasible.”

The tide changed when Smith saw social posts about quick deliveries from Vanaways’ Business Development Manager, Hannah Pearson. “Within a week, Hannah had visited us, and we’d ordered the first batch,” Smith recalls. “The first vans were on the road inside two months. The service was unbeatable.”
Their Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 315 CDI models feature 2.0-litre diesel engines, chassis cabs, and bespoke dropside bodies fitted by Hull-based Martin Williams – featuring special racking, tail lifts and fall prevention systems.
Omnis operates a fleet of 46 commercial vehicles from its headquarters in Scunthorpe, as well as depots in Dartford, Northampton and Taunton. These vans service Omnis’ operations, providing traffic management equipment and services to customers that include road surfacing, civil engineering and utilities contractors, as well as organisers of public events such as fun runs.
The outstanding service and quality vehicles prompted the repeat order. “They’re the best vans we’ve ever had,” Smith confirms, “which is why we went straight back to Vanaways.”
