CARDIFF-BASED renewable energy specialist Nuvolt is transitioning away from leased vehicles and investing in its own fleet of sustainable work vans. Partnering with Bristol-based van specialist Vanaways, the company has acquired two new Peugeot Boxers to support their growing operations.

Initially opting for leased vehicles to establish a presence in the market, Nuvolt is now expanding with a focus on ownership and brand awareness. Matthew Phillips, Managing Director, explains the decision: “We sought vehicles that could be specified to meet our requirements while also enhancing our brand image, both on the road and on-site.”

Nuvolt’s switch to Vanaways as a supplier was facilitated by Business Development Director Liam Nicholas.

“We were happy to collaborate with Vanaways and have built a positive working relationship. The vans arrived in perfect condition, on time and exactly as ordered.”

Nuvolt’s fleet includes Peugeot Boxer L2H2s with top-spec features and a Peugeot Partner Blue HDi 100 for its sister company, Focus MEP. The vans see daily use in surveys, installations, and maintenance. Phillips highlights the enhanced work environment: “The comfortable cabs, equipped with double passenger seats, air-conditioning, and touch-screen consoles with compatible with smartphones, ensure our engineers arrive at jobs feeling fresh and ready to start work.”

The company has an eye towards further sustainability in their fleet. “As a specialist in renewable technologies, we’ll inevitably be looking at adding electric vans…as soon as vehicle battery range makes them a viable proposition,” adds Phillips.
