ALPHABET is planning a conference in December following the success of its first Alphabet Partnership Forum.

The event will be held in Liverpool and Alphabet says that it will enable more business partners from around the UK to participate.

It will also be the first chance for many Alphabet Partner brokers to congratulate Richard Chadwick on his appointment as head of Partner.

The December conference follows the success of its Partnership Forum initiative recently.

Held to celebrate the success of the broker channel five years since its launch, the event brought together brokers, retailers and affinity partners who work with Alphabet. On the agenda were key topics on the automotive and leasing agenda, the sharing of industry best practice, as well as insights on innovations from beyond the fleet and mobility sector.

Brokers, retailers and intermediaries who attended the event at Hothorpe Hall, Leicestershire, received a business and market update from Alphabet CEO Nick Brownrigg, along with recent regulatory developments in automotive finance from Alphabet’s head of compliance, Leanne Christmas.

Gavin Davies, general manager of indirect sales, said that Alphabet Partner was now responsible for a fleet of nearly 30,000 vehicles.

He added:

“We value the Partnership Forum immensely as an event in which we can hear from our broker, retailer and affinity partners, share insights and updates from Alphabet, while having discussions on the latest trends and issues affecting them, their businesses and customers.

“We brought together these important business partners together at Hothorpe Hall for a day of intensive discussions and networking, as well as to mark five years to the week that we launched Alphabet Partner channel back in 2014. We felt it was a great way to celebrate and share what we’ve achieved so far, as well as look forward to our future together.”

The event also proved to be a great way for Alphabet and its business partners to raise money for the company’s official charity, Alzheimer’s Society, by raffling off the most prestigious room at the venue for the evening, the luxury ‘Treehouse’ in The Woodlands.

Martin Brown, managing director of Fleet Alliance – an Alphabet Partner since 2015 – was the successful bidder, with £500 being raised for the benefit of the Alzheimer’s Society.
