e-car lease stood out for demonstrating excellence across a number of key areas:
True passion for EVs
e-car lease was one of the first brokers to create a website dedicated to pure electric transport. The judges commented on founder Rob King’s passion for EVs which can be seen throughout the business. The company prides itself on ensuring its team are highly trained to ensure customers get the best possible EV advice. The panel also liked the fact that e-car lease ‘walks the talk’ – it offers employees an EV salary sacrifice scheme and has installed onsite charging.
Market leading approach
The panel applauded the creation of the EVC (Electric Vehicle Certificate) by e-car lease which is designed to reduce EV trepidation for both new and used car procurement. The document digitally collates all relevant stakeholders – motor insurance, charge point location, charge point installation, EV reviews plus key data and metrics. One judge called it ‘a milestone step in the EV leasing industry’. The judges also liked e-car lease’s collaborative approach, noting that the business offers its specialist EV skills and expertise to partner funders, suppliers as well as fellow brokers.
Highly informative website
The e-car lease website was designed to be an EV procurement resource unlike anything else available in the UK. The site offers guidance and tools for all aspects of the electric journey to ensure customers understand exactly how their EV will operate – including data on charging costs, seasonable range analysis and charging speeds. The panel was impressed with the site, calling it ‘one of the best and most informative websites to help customers make an informed transition’.
It means so much to the e-car lease team to be recognised as the EV Broker of the Year in 2023. Electric cars and vans are no longer a niche aspect of the automotive industry; they are a fundamental part of the UK’s retail and fleet demographic. Since we started our EV initiative almost eight years ago, our business has prioritised robust and comprehensible EV procurement, so that personal, business and salary sacrifice customers can transition to zero-emission transport with confidence. Our unique range of tools and guides, including our latest innovation the EVC (Electric Vehicle Certificate), are a testament to our dedication to our customers and to the contract hire and leasing market as a whole.
