TODAY BMW revealed its all-electric iX3 model in an online world premiere.
The new electric SUV will come to the UK in summer 2021. It is the first X model from BMW that is fully electric.
The zero emission SUV will have a range of 285 miles, and the ability to add 0-80 per cent of its battery charge in 34 minutes when hooked up to a direct current rapid-charging station.
BMW says it will release iX3 pricing this autumn along with specifications which will include an exclusive Premier edition.
The BMW iX3 is made in the Shenyang plant in China, which is operated by the joint venture BMW Brilliance Automotive.
With the introduction of the i model, the BMW X3 will be the brand’s first model to be available with a pure-electric drive system, a plug-in hybrid system along with petrol and diesel engines. BMW said this embodied its BMW Group ‘Power of Choice’ strategy.
