Spotlight on Women in Broking
This week we focus on Shaheda Mears from VIP Gateway – a sparkling success story from jewellery sales, premium dealerships, a Covid-closed used car business to co-owner and operations manager of growing brokerage VIP Gateway. It’s a great read. And Women in Broking is an area we shall be expanding in 2024 to include networking events and those women in companies that serve the broker sector. It will be great. Can’t wait!
Great networking at The Friday Club
My thanks to AFL’s Patrick Fagan for the kind invitation to The Friday Club’s luncheon in the splendid surroundings of The Langham in London. Patrick is pictured above addressing the diners with, foreground Steve Cocks (Lex Autolease) on the left and the comedian for the event Rudi Lickwood. While there was a Christmas feel to the event, there was also an important charitable side which is dear to the heart of AFL founder Daphne Fagan. The Companions of The Order of Malta, Kenya, do highly important work in Kenya, Africa, and all donations are gratefully received at The Just Giving page if you wish to donate. It is Christmas, after all.
