ESTABLISHED leasing broker Carmyke Leasing has joined Fleet Alliance as an Appointed Representative (AR).
The East Sussex broker has been in business since 1994 and will continue as a separate limited company with its current four employees, but now trading as Fleet Alliance.
Carmyke Leasing’s specialism is business contract hire for SMEs. The company will now be able to further professionalise its offering with access to the Fleet Alliance whole life cost consultancy tools.
We’re predominantly a business based broker, so using the Fleet Alliance consultancy tools and whole life cost calculators will better equip us to help SME fleets make the transition to electric vehicles. Effectively it’s the way the world is going. It’s all change. But we will now be in a better position to facilitate that change.
Andy Hooper, managing director, Carmyke Leasing
There were multiple reasons why Carmyke Leasing decided to become a Fleet Alliance AR, says Hooper, including access to better purchasing power, access to more finance companies and easier back end account management support from Fleet Alliance’s award winning team.
Hooper adds: “It also provides greater security going forward. My son intends to take over the company and being part of the larger Fleet Alliance business will make the transition more manageable.”
Carmyke took on Fleet Alliance AR status at the end of April, so it remains “early days at the moment” says Hooper. “But I can see it making a big difference to our business with more facilities, greater flexibility in rates, and opening the door to more opportunities.”
Carmyke Leasing is the latest established broker to become a Fleet Alliance AR, joining Anthony K Associates, former BMW car retailer David Woodhouse and former broker general manager Jonathan Nolan.
I’m very pleased to welcome Andy Hooper and the Carmyke team to Fleet Alliance. They bring not only great experience to the brand, but a passion for business contract hire that I’m sure will position them well as we expand our EV expertise offering to more and more SMEs.
Martin Brown, managing director, Fleet Alliance
Brown added that all Fleet Alliance ARs benefit from the only bespoke end-to-end e-Fleet system in the broker market, including funding lines (e-Fleet Procurement), full back office support and account management (e-Fleet Admin), sales fulfilment (e-Fleet CRM), and access to outsourced fleet management capabilities.
Fleet Alliance, which manages in excess of 30,000 vehicles, is part of EV100, a group of businesses committed to full electrification by 2030.
“Fleet Alliance ARs play an integral role in helping companies transition to zero emission electric vehicles,” concluded Brown.
