CONCEPT Vehicle Leasing has appointed Gary Dawes as its new commercial director, a year after first joining the company.
The Surrey-based leasing broker has promoted Gary from his role as head of strategic partnerships, a position he started in February 2021.
Since joining Concept, Gary has proven an instrumental figure in the launch and growth of the firm’s dedicated referral channel Concept Business Partners.
In his new role as commercial director, Gary will oversee sales and commercial functions at Concept, including planned growth through appointed representatives (ARs) in 2022.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Gary throughout the past year, to expand our proposition with the launch of our new partner channel. Gary is a natural leader who brings commercial experience in developing relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients alike.
I’ve no doubt that Gary’s appointment to commercial director, will really support our overall plan for expansion and growth in 2022 and beyond, and I’m thrilled to have him on board as part of our journey.
Having effectively doubled our volume of plug-in and EV sales in 2021, the business is well placed to seize the opportunities ahead because of the pace of change. It’s an exciting time to be part of our industry, and I believe the future is bright for Concept.

Paul Bulloch joins BVRLA Leasing Broker Committee
Meanwhile, Paul Bulloch has joined the BVRLA Leasing Broker Committee, attending his first event in January this year. Commenting on his appointment, Paul said:
