SUSTAINABILITY and diversity are highlighted in the first Broker News Awards which take place this Friday in London (28 April, 2023).

The awards themselves are made from sustainably sourced oak and plastic reclaimed from the ocean, while the awards entries asked leasing brokers to define their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda which is becoming increasingly important in order for businesses to succeed.

Meanwhile the awards spotlight greater diversity with a Women in Broking award, while the three rising stars – Lucie Almond, Synergy Car Leasing, Amber Thorpe, Silverstone Leasing, and Maddy Tyler, Bridle Group – suggest that this push for greater equality is continuing to come through.

I think it’s important that our awards reflect the strong move towards decarbonisation and recyclability as well as embracing the role women can play in a traditionally strong male environment.

The awards have proved extremely popular with more than 80 guests – from leasing brokers, funders to industry suppliers – joining the celebration of excellence in the sector.

The awards are supported by Automotus (lunch event sponsor), Arval (arrival drinks sponsor), Bridle Franchise (luncheon wine sponsor) and Leasing.com (post-event winner profiles sponsor).

In addition, Fleet Procure, Carmmunity, Mycardirect, Loopit, Drivalia, SOGO Mobility and Leasys are sponsoring the actual awards.

“It all adds up to what should be a brilliant day spotlighting the leasing broker sector and rewarding excellence,” added Ralph. “Good luck to all our shortlisted finalists!”
