- PCH enquiries up 20% y-on-y
- SMMT private market up 1.0% y-on-y
- Nissan Qashqai heads the leasing charts
- Greater vehicle supply and discounts driving improved consumer behaviour
THE change in sentiment from consumers for personal leasing, first noted since the summer, continued into November, reports deal aggregator site Leasing.com.
According to Leasing.com total enquiries were up 20% compared with the same time in November last year with the popular Nissan Qashqai top of the PCH demand charts. Which will be a welcome relief to those leasing brokers whose focus is on the personal leasing market.
Last month’s temperature check noted the increasing number of discounts coming into the market and budget friendly headline leasing rates. The change in OEM mood to offer discounts has continued into November. Paul Harrison, chief partnerships officer, notes
The year-on-year increase in November was down to improved vehicle supply, stabilising economic conditions, discounted offers and our own marketing efforts. The ever-popular Nissan Qashqai topped our league table of the most enquired on vehicles, with Volkswagen having a particularly successful November. Three of their vehicles were in our top five. However, it was the offers on Volkswagen’s sister brand, Cupra, that really caught the eye. There were some exceptional deals from brokers on the Cupra Leon.
Paul Harrison, chief partnerships officer at Leasing.com
Market watch special: Cupra Leon
Leasing.com's pick of the month: Cupra Leon – outstanding offers on this sporty hatchback with rentals from just £199 per month.
