Broker News Awards 2023 judges Tweet
Within the company’s award entry, Fleet Alliance stood out for demonstrating excellence across a number of key areas:
A true understanding of SMEs
While Fleet Alliance also serves the corporate market, the business describes the SME offering as being ‘the heart of our business model.’
Fleet Alliance clearly understands the SME marketplace – citing in-life customer service and day-to-day fleet management as key pillars of the SME relationship. The panel liked Fleet Alliance’s automation and leading technology, combined with its one-to-one service approach – critical for the SME space.
Offering corporate-level services to SMEs
The judges noted that Fleet Alliance offers a number of solutions to SMEs that are often only found in corporate leasing offerings.
Fleet Alliance was one of the first to market with an SME-focused salary sacrifice scheme and offers significant cost savings through its multi-bid funding – a facility not normally available to smaller businesses.
The panel also liked the fact that Fleet Alliance offers its e-Fleet technology free of charge to SMEs. The end-to-end software platform helps SMEs manage fleet administration and empowers them with the same level of fleet insight enjoyed by corporates.
Environmental credentials
Fleet Alliance has created an extensive environmental, social and governance (ESG) programme with an impressive environmental focus.
The business runs a fully electric company car fleet and many staff are already driving their second EV company car. For non-company car qualifying employees, Fleet Alliance has also introduced a salary sacrifice scheme.
The panel was also pleased to see Fleet Alliance’s drive to help its clients reduce their collective fleet carbon footprint – the reduction so far stands at over 31 billion grams of CO2, equivalent to taking over 12,000 cars off the road. Fleet Alliance has also joined EV100 – a global group of businesses pledging to make electric transport the new normal by 2030.
The SME market was our core market when the company began back in 2002 and remains our core focus today. So winning the Best SME Broker of the Year Award is fantastic recognition for our dedicated Fleet Alliance team that services the SME sector so expertly, and reflects our expertise in bringing the right products to this demanding and vitally important sector of the UK economy.
