LEASING brokers delivered an astonishing one in 11 new Hyundai Tucson registrations in August through the Fleet Procure broker/dealer vehicle acquisition platform.

The Tucson ended the month as the top selling SUV, with broker sales through Fleet Procure accounting for 8% of all 1739 registrations during the month (source: SMMT).

Such was the demand, it knocked the Nissan Qashqai and VW Tiguan down the Fleet Procure most ordered SUV list.

This result is testament to Hyundai's engagement with the leasing market. Over 34% of the registrations were business and corporate users opting for the low emission PHEV Tucson.

Fleet Procure, a Broker News partner, said that despite the welcome engagement from Hyundai Motors UK, market conditions remained challenging.

“I expect further market strains with price increases from many brands on 01 October, coupled with rumours of further reduction of discount terms. We can only continue to ride out the storm and wait for better trading conditions in 2023,” added Lee.
