THE BVRLA has announced it is creating a brand-new senior role: director of member engagement.

Amanda Brandon (pictured above at the BVRLA Leasing Broker Conference 2022) has been appointed to the position to focus on working with existing members to understand their needs and feedback. Amanda was previously director of fleet services for the organisation and brings extensive experience to the senior team.

Commenting on her appointment, Amanda said:

I’m really pleased to be taking on the role. Having worked for the BVRLA for over 20 years, I know how members work and what we can do to further those relationships. It is a great time to take on this position as we are developing and delivering the BVRLA’s value proposition for our leasing broker membership. I’ll be improving our KPIs to support member retention and growth in line with the association’s business plan.

The role is aligned to the BVRLA’s ongoing commitment to work closely with its members on association activities as well as enhancing the value of BVRLA membership. Amanda added:

I’ll also be working on the support we provide to members and their customers, through delivery of accessible guidance that helps members’ day-to-day operations. I’m really looking forward to working with our leasing broker membership in all aspects of my new role and welcome all member feedback.

The new position has been created as part of a trio of personnel changes announced to the BVRLA senior team. In preparation for the association’s next growth phase, Mark Pow (head of learning & development) and Michael Skinner (head of IT) have also been promoted to the senior leadership team.
