ANTHONY Flack, boss of Motorcomplete and a sponsor of the BVRLA Leasing Broker Conference (21 June 2023), said that despite integrating APIs for straight through processing, a lack of industry standards for data was a real concern.
“For example, one of the funders is going to offer BCH but depending on the size of the business, the data won’t use the same taxonomy. We’ll cope with it of course, but it would make it simpler if there was standard data sets.”
Anthony said that Motorcomplete – which rebranded from MotorLease earlier this year – had built a community of 30 brokers within three years.
“So it’s going well,” added Anthony, “but it’s harder than expected. However, we are confident we will double that number by this time next year.”
