About the winner
Hertfordshire-based Greenfleets was founded by Stephen Greenstreet in 2008. Stephen’s background was in asset finance and vehicle leasing having worked at The Bank of Scotland and ran his own asset finance brokerage. Seeing the increasing demand for vehicle leasing, Stephen set up Greenfleets, starting from a single desk in a serviced office. This year the business is celebrating its 15th anniversary and continues to grow year-on-year.

Small but perfectly formed! A wealth of experience in this business which is clearly highly customer focused. The Greenfleets partnership with their local community is impressive - great to see a small broker doing so much.
Broker News Awards 2023 judges Tweet
Focus on quality
The Greenfleets business has been built steadily with a highly experienced team and a focus on quality of business rather than quantity. The judges were impressed with Greenfleets’ consultative customer approach and the importance placed on supplying the right vehicle for the job and the driver, rather than the cheapest vehicle. The success of this approach was demonstrated through Greenfleets’ high levels of customer retention and referrals.
Supporting the local community
While Greenfleets is a nationwide business, the leasing broker’s foundations have been built through supporting local communities in their nearby counties. The panel was delighted to see the importance Greenfleets places on supporting local organisations – including Tring Rugby Club, Rennie Grove Hospice and MK Dons FC.
Environmental influence
Greenfleets has put together an internal strategy to promote positive environmental change. The judges liked the fact that the Greenfleets’ company car scheme has had 100% EV take up, as well as providing home charging options for employees. The judges also supported the idea that, as EV drivers, the Greenfleets team is better equipped to advise its customers on transitioning to electric.
What the judges said
The judges were delighted to see service at the heart of the Greenfleets business and commented that the focus on customer experience and personal service provides great foundations for the business as it continues to grow.
We were delighted and privileged to be awarded Best Small Broker. We feel it endorses the relationships we build with our customers and the service and advice we offer. To be recognised by a panel of industry experts makes us extremely proud and shows our commitment and expertise within the leasing industry.
Our green credentials are of paramount importance to us and the work we are undertaking with our customers demonstrates how committed we are to future and alternative fuels, whilst minimising customers’ carbon footprint and saving them money through sensible blended vehicle policies.
