About the winner

Set up in 2006, Synergy Car Leasing provides personal and business vehicle leasing. Based in Harrogate, the business operates nationally, and supplies all makes and models of new cars and light commercial vehicles. Synergy’s mission is to deliver a great customer leasing experience by providing excellent service, industry knowledge and advice, quality communication and value for money.

Why did Synergy win Best Customer Service broker?

The panel loved Synergy’s highly customer focused approach and was impressed with its communication throughout the entire customer journey.

Synergy has a very strong customer culture delivered by its client services team and the pride in standards is evident. The customer testimonials and feedback scores are proof that the customer centric approach works.

Within the company’s award entry, Synergy stood out for demonstrating excellence across a number of key areas:

Demonstrating best practice customer service

Synergy demonstrates a real focus on supporting the customer at every stage of the journey – from initial enquiry through to completion calls and in-life management. The business also provides a dedicated account manager to ensure consistency. The judges liked the emphasis on providing friendly customer service through a highly trained team. The panel also remarked on CEO and founder, Paul Parkinson’s passion for raising industry standards and the implementation of a dedicated team to deliver on Consumer Duty requirements.

Exceptional customer feedback

Synergy’s customer testimonials and ratings across leading review platforms Feefo and Trustpilot are impressive.  The judges commented on both the number and quality of reviews across the platforms, as well as Synergy’s excellent net promoter score. The panel noted that the business has won consecutive Feefo awards over the last nine years, including the highest Platinum award for the last four years.

Example recent customer testimonial

‘I ordered my car in August 2021, delivered in April 2023! Long wait due to various factors outside everyone’s control, Synergy kept me informed on an ongoing basis after initially getting me a great deal on the car. When the car was delivered it wasn’t really up to scratch. Laura-Jayne has been great throughout the process of rectifying these issues (which were nothing to do with Synergy) and followed up after the garage had my car for an extended period. Really pleased with Synergy and Laura-Jayne – the garage could learn from her quality customer service!’

Ongoing customer journey improvements

The panel applauded Synergy’s ongoing focus to keep improving the customer experience. Recent Synergy initiatives include extending opening hours to make it easier for customers to get in touch at a convenient time and real-time enquiry management implementation which allows the majority of phone calls to be answered within a few seconds

Synergy Car Leasing is delighted to receive the Best Customer Service Award from Broker News.  This is a great testament to our fantastic team who ensure that our clients have an excellent leasing experience, day in and day out; as well as the management team ensuring that our core focus on delivering good customer outcomes lives and breathes throughout the business. We also recognise that the panel is made up of our industry partners and peers who chose us for this award which makes it worth even more, and we would like to thank them for their ongoing support.
